From the first call to walking out the door, the whole experience was outstanding. The office staff worked so hard to get me prepared and in quickly. Dr. Capelo is very knowledgeable and explained everything very well. Even getting the cast was a great experience. I highly recommend this team, they all work together to take great care of their patients.

Dr Darr took care of my boy twice! He broke both of his wrists when he was 10, then rebroke one of them when he was 11. Both times she and her team did an amazing job from approach, bed side manner, thorough examinations, x-rays, and also teaching him how to take care of his injured parts. She will definitely be the first Dr i see for any more sprains, fractures, or breaks! Thank you Dr Darr!

Ms. Darr was great!! She was honest and sincere and provided us with all the different options on how to move forward with possible scenarios on treatment as well as risks associated with every option. I enjoyed her personable manner and honest assessments.

This is our second broken bone in 5 months and Lisa is great as is the staff. I highly recommend seeing Lisa if you child has an injury.

Unfortunately we’ve been here a few times (4 boys over here). And Dr. Capelo is their absolute FAVORITE. He can communicate on their level, he is very knowledgeable and experienced. We have been very very pleased. From broken bones to random injuries, he is our guy!

Was able to be fit in on a late Friday afternoon after my daughter was diagnosed with a fracture at our local urgent care earlier that day. Every staff member we encountered was so kind, patient, and helpful. Everyone made my daughter feel seen and heard and helped make her comfortable in what was a very uncomfortable situation.

We had a wonderful experience with this office. Dr. Darr was amazing. She was patient, yet knew how much to push with my 4 year old, who had broken a bone in her hand. She's cautious, which as a mom of a young child, I very much appreciated.

My son saw Lisa when after hurting his ankle at sports practice. She and the whole team were thorough and knowledgeable, patient, attentive, and compassionate with. They answered all our questions clearly and never did we feel rushed. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Lisa or the practice.

We went to Dr. Capelo to seek another opinion about my daughter’s condition; Dr. Capelo is so great that we are going to use HIM! He is quite knowledgeable about an issue my daughter has with her foot and we believe he will be able to provide the best care for her, as well… I also want to mention the staff here is so so kind!

Phenomenal care team. We travel over an hour to be treated here. She was phenomenal when our daughter broke her arm and is now helping our son recover from a leg injury. Not someone I want to ever have to see but I’m glad they are there when I need to see

Quick, efficient and effective communication!

The easiest experience!! Very fairly priced, in and out in two hours and that’s exam, X-ray, doc visit and full cast. Staff was very friendly too!

Our Grandaughter got an injury then when playing volleyball made it worse. We went to other specialist first. She didn’t get better And they missed something in the x-ray. These folks found out what was wrong on our first visit. We have been using them For several months. it was a serious injury. But she is close to being 100% now. Lisa Darr is an excellent care provider and our little girl, really likes her. We would highly recommend these medical experts. Dr Capelo and staff are awsome!

Dr. Capelo and his team were so nice and informational. They were very kind to my daughter walking her through all the steps. We had an upcoming vacation and they worked through all options with us for what would be best for her, but still allow her to be active on vacation. We truly appreciate them.

Dr. Capelo is great but talks super fast and timing is always an issue. We arrive for our appointment early so that we’re on time. We don’t get called back til 20 or 30 minutes after our appointment time & don’t see the Dr. til an hour or later.

While I was initially going to express frustration about the wait to see the doctor, once Dr. Capelo entered the room, I understood completely. His exam was so thorough and comprehensive. He explained treatment options in easy to understand terms. He was wonderful with my daughter.

We were able to get scheduled right away, Dr. Capello was very attentive and informative made some recommendations that have really helped with recovery quicker than we expected.

Dr Capelo spent time reviewing our case, did a thorough assessment of my kiddo, explained things to me in both lamens terms and then some of the more complex questions, and ended with a clear outline of next options and timelines.

The Doctor and the staff are very good from the medical point of view. Unfortunately they need to do a lot better in the estimated time per visit. The Doctor checked my son between 40 - 60 later than the appointment time. This happened in 2 of the 3 visits made.

When you have a competitive athlete who gets injured you never want to hear they need to take a break from playing. However, he helps you understand the why and benefit of doing what is right for the athlete for long term health and prevention of reinjury. We are so thankful for Dr. Capelo and his staff. My daughter had a growth plate fracture that was missed at another local orthopedist and we were treated poorly overall there, as if my 9 year old swollen wrist after falling in gym was nothing, we later found Dr Capelo who treated us with respect and kindness and after getting a cast and doing follow up X-rays, we now see the evidence of the growth plate fracture and it’s healing. Thankful for his thoroughness and compassion. His experience and expertise helped my baby girl. Highly recommend!!

Our experience with Dr. Capelo & his staff is always top notch. We’ve been going to Pediatric Sports and Spine since my 15 year old was 15 months old and they have always been welcoming, friendly and thorough in their evaluations and explanations.

Happy Mom of two clumsy boys! On 8/29/2022 my youngest son fell off his bike and broke his arm the afternoon before I was leaving for vacation. Dr. Capelo’s staff quickly worked us in at the end of the day. Dr. Capelo stayed late to x-ray and cast my son’s arm so I could still make my 9 AM flight the next morning! Flash back 2 years to July 2020 (during the pandemic) in rural Colorado where my older son fell off a log and broke his arm requiring immediate surgery. In panic mode, being out of town in a rural ER during Covid, I called back home to Dr. Capelo’s office for advice. Dr. Capelo not only did a phone consult with me, he graciously reviewed the x-rays and discussed the surgery plan with the ER Orthopedic since he did not specialize in pediatrics. Once we were back in Colleyville, Dr. Capelo seamlessly handled the surgery follow-up and took over my son’s care. You will not find a more humble and caring physician than Dr. Capelo. He deeply cares for his patience as I’ve witnessed with both my boys and numerous friends I have since referred to him. If I could give him 100 stars, I would!
