Great doc and staff is kind, always finds way to work in kids for an appt if it’s an emergency, great followup care, referrals for PT, specialists, etc r always good recommendations with providers that do good job. I’d wholeheartedly recommend this practice - both Dr Capelo and and Lisa do great and thorough work, good attention to detail as well.

We absolutely love Pediatric sports and spine Associates, and would recommend them to anyone needing orthopedic care. Dr. Capelo is great. He’s funny, my son loves his personality, and he goes out of his way to make sure the parent and the child understand what has happened and the best option in route for treatment. He and his team take such precise, and specific care every time we are in. With my child breaking 9 bones in 2 1/2 years, we have interacted with everyone on the team at some point. The front desk ladies work hard to make sure the check-in process, and scheduling is easy on the parents and schedules. The office manager is incredible, and Renee will do anything she can to help you if you need her. All of the wonderful nurses, x-ray techs, and Medical assistants have a great personalities, and my son loves to chat with them about “what he did this time” every time we are in. I’d go as far as saying, knowing a trip to see his second family, at his second home, sort of cushions the blow every time he gets hurt. ;)

We struggled to find a place to see our son, not many spine specialists who see under 18 near us, so when I got a call back from them- I had no hope for an appointment so soon. They were able to squeeze him in, just a few days later, right before Christmas! Even though my husband left the CD with the images in the other car, based on the report only - they gave us a plan to start immediately, explaining everything to our 16yr old so he could understand the importance of following the instructions so he would heal. I am so thankful for the kindness and understanding of everyone we spoke with, on the phone and in person. I was a very worried parent and they really went above and beyond to ensure that we got the answers we needed and the care that our son deserves.

We are so thankful for Dr. Capelo and his staff. My daughter had a growth plate fracture that was missed at another local orthopedist and we were treated poorly overall there, as if my 9 year old swollen wrist after falling in gym was nothing, we later found Dr Capelo who treated us with respect and kindness and after getting a cast and doing follow up X-rays, we now see the evidence of the growth plate fracture and it’s healing. Thankful for his thoroughness and compassion. His experience and expertise helped my baby girl. Highly recommend!!

Happy Mom of two clumsy boys! On 8/29/2022 my youngest son fell off his bike and broke his arm the afternoon before I was leaving for vacation. Dr. Capelo’s staff quickly worked us in at the end of the day. Dr. Capelo stayed late to x-ray and cast my son’s arm so I could still make my 9 AM flight the next morning! Flash back 2 years to July 2020 (during the pandemic) in rural Colorado where my older son fell off a log and broke his arm requiring immediate surgery. In panic mode, being out of town in a rural ER during Covid, I called back home to Dr. Capelo’s office for advice. Dr. Capelo not only did a phone consult with me, he graciously reviewed the x-rays and discussed the surgery plan with the ER Orthopedic since he did not specialize in pediatrics. Once we were back in Colleyville, Dr. Capelo seamlessly handled the surgery follow-up and took over my son’s care. You will not find a more humble and caring physician than Dr. Capelo. He deeply cares for his patience as I’ve witnessed with both my boys and numerous friends I have since referred to him. If I could give him 100 stars, I would!
